It’s reported from the front that all 0# block concrete pouring of main piers for the Sixth Yangtze River Bridge in Luzhou, the world largest diamond-type cable-stayed bridge with three towers, has been completed.
After completion, high-speed trains and vehicles will drive side by side.
“From the sky to the sea”, “XCMG Golden” builds another top of the world, challenging the impossible!
The concrete pouring of the S8 section of the Sixth Yangtze River Bridge in Luzhou with XCMG as one of the constructors has been completed, which marks the beginning of the girder construction.
As the world’s largest diamond-type cable-stayed bridge with three towers combining both roads and tracks, the Sixth Yangtze River Bridge in Luzhou is 1,080 meters long and 50 meters wide, with two-way six lanes and rail traffic. After completion, the project will become an important fast passage connecting the south and west of Luzhou.
Difficult to construct
Area = 6 standard basketball courts
It is understood that the main tower of the Bridge is 186 meters high, equivalent to the height of a 60-storey building. The pouring of the S8 section of the side span is extremely difficult because the terrain is complex with crisscross ravines, the surrounding is airtight and narrow, and the pouring area is equivalent to 6 basketball courts. With the advantages of the smallest span of the same meter class and the longest boom frame, XCMG has successfully overcome the problems of narrow space and concrete pouring with large side spans.
High construction intensity
Total weight of pouring > 3000 elephants
All main bridge piers and main side spans are made of C60 concrete with high performance and strength, and the pouring needs to be continuous and uninterrupted. The total concrete pouring volume is more than 10,000 tons. To complete the concrete pumping with ultra-high strength and super-large tonnage, the pump truck shall meet strict performance requirements. At the construction site, five XCMG pump trucks operate flexibly with efficiency and stability, realizing precise pouring, and they have been highly recognized by the Project Department of China Gezhouba Group Corporation.
Project Manager Fu said,
Pump trucks of other brands were provided on the construction side in earlier stage, but they cannot produce C60 concrete specially for large bridges, and thus the project was delayed. Later all of them were replaced by XCMG pump trucks. As a result, the pouring task was completed in only 30 hours rather than the originally planned more than 40 consecutive hours. XCMG products work efficiently and suit for any materials. They are really awesome!
A large-span bridge turns a deep chasm into a thoroughfare. “World record” super projects are completed one by one, which are the best evidence of the rapid growth of China's comprehensive national strength. As a leading enterprise of construction machinery, XCMG will forge ahead together with the construction of the motherland!
