Recently, the 2nd XCMG “Global Scholarship” Issuing Ceremony was held in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology. About 500 students majoring in engineering participated in the event. XCMG was widely praised by local teachers and students for its devotion and charity.
XCMG’s global targeted public welfare program was launched in 2016. As one of the 14 welfare programs, “global scholarship” is aimed at helping excellent students from poor families majoring in engineering machinery through XCMG’s targeted measures in poverty alleviation. Only in 2016, XCMG has issued scholarship for 1078 students from 6 higher vocational colleges of Bangladesh University of Technology, Ethiopian University of Engineering, Islamabad Elementary School, Pakistan, Workers’ Children School of Thai Crane College, Phnom Penh University, Cambodia and Tehran University.

The 2nd XCMG global scholarship involves 6 countries, 4 colleges and 2 training centers this year. It is expected to issue scholarship or provide technical training courses for more than 1200 students and operators. Bangladesh is the fifth station of the event.

It is reported that the university that accepted the donation is Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) which is one of the most prestigious engineering universities in Bangladesh.

On the day of donation, students hung banners and elaborately decorated the hall to express their gratitude to XCMG in this simple way. About 500 students majoring in engineering participated in the event.

Through screening and recommendation by the University, a lot of students with excellent academic skills and fine qualities from poor families received donations at the hall.

With a population of more than 160 million, Bangladesh is now in good economic condition, and its economic growth rate has remained above 6% for 10 consecutive years. It is also an important country along “the Belt and Road”. XCMG pays high attention to the development opportunities brought by “the Belt and Road” to Chinese engineering machinery and actively lays out the market in Bangladesh. In the past two years, XCMG batch products including rotary drilling crawler crane, roller and grader have entered Bangladesh to assist local economic development with the people of Bangladesh.

Global public welfare-- XCMG is in action
XCMG implemented 14 global public welfare projects such as “blue dream for children”, “Africa water cellar”, “Blue dream” global scholarship, “global excellent operator” and blue assistance in five public welfare fields of earthquake relief, education assistance, helping the poor, industrial development and environmental protection focusing on the national strategic requirements of “targeted poverty alleviation” and taking “XCMG makes the world better” as public welfare value proposition, and created an international, targeted and systematic path for public welfare.
Over the past ten years, XCMG has engaged in various social welfare undertakings, charitable donations and earthquake relief and input equipment and other resources valued more than 200 million yuan, of which the amount of charitable donations reached more than 100 million yuan (100,852,900 yuan) and 235,800 goods were donated. XCMG was awarded “China charity prize”, “National earthquake relief hero” and other honors.
