On June 25, the Bangladesh Padma bridge, known as the "bridge of dreams", the largest overseas single bridge project undertaken by Chinese enterprises, was opened to traffic. This is a bridge of innovation, quality and technology, and also a bridge of friendship between China and Bangladesh.
The bridge has a total length of 6.15 kilometers and a construction period of 8 years. More than 100 complete sets of equipment such as XCMG crane, roller, crawler crane and concrete equipment participated in the construction.
This bridge is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Bangladesh's history. The completion of its construction has completely ended the thousands of years of history of Bangladeshi people crossing the river by ferry.
It is understood that the river in the construction area on both sides of the Padma connecting line is turbulent. After years of scouring, the riverbed at the bridge site is silt and silty sand, which is extremely soft, causing great difficulties to the construction. XCMG sent a service team of 20 people to support, which provided guarantee for the smooth progress of the project.
