Report of CGTN Africa: XCMG Assists the Infrastructure Construction in Africa
Release Date: April 22, 2021

Recently, CGTN Africa reported that XCMG whole set of equipment assisted the infrastructure construction in Africa.

It is pointed out in the report that over 2,000 heavy equipment was exported in total to participate in the construction of the Nairobi Expressway project.

As flagships in the construction machinery industry, XCMG cranes, excavators, rotating drills and modified asphalt equipment work together, showing their powerful technology and strength. This co-operation lays a solid foundation for full-speed progress of the project. So far, XCMG has exported a total of over 2,000 machines to Kenya.

After completion, the expressway will connect Kenyatta International Airport in the east and Nairobi-Nakuru expressway in the west.

“We see huge potential for African countries and China as part of our mutually complementary growth. We have experience in construction technology and high-end construction equipment so everyone can benefit. We are very proud of the Africa and China friendship and cooperation.” Liu Jiansen, Vice President of XCMG Construction Machinery Company and General Manager of XCMG Import and Export Company, said in the interview.

XCMG, among the construction machinery companies in China that first entered in the African market, established a branch in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya in July 2011, in order to promote the marketing of its products in the country and bring more perfect and considerable services for end users.

XCMG is not only committed to providing quality products for the rapidly developing construction industry in Kenya, but also brings a full range of after-sales services. It also provides technical and job training free of charge to local people.

Infrastructure, the base of a powerful country, and equipment manufacturing, a pillar of a great power, are closely related. In Africa, XCMG equipment has been widely used in large construction projects such as port construction in Djibouti, highway construction in Ethiopia and national stadium construction in Kenya.

XCMG exported 198 sets of equipment to participate in the construction of Mombasa-Nairobi Railway in Kenya and nearly 2,000 devices worthy of USD 200 million for the Oil Refinery project in the West Africa.

In addition, XCMG has conducted a series of public welfare projects in Kenya, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries, including the mosquito net donation launched in 2018, XCMG scholarship plan and water cellar project in Africa. These projects have been widely recognized and praised.
