The ceremony was attended by more than 600 people, including Guinea President Alpha Condé, Prime Minister Mamady Youla, a few ministers, congressmen and local officials of Guinea, Ambassador Bian Jianqiang of China to Guinea, Inspector Wang Jianjun of NDRC Working Team, VP Wang Lijun of CRBC and representatives of other China companies in Guinea, diplomats of some countries in Guinea, representatives of international organizations and local residents.
President Alpha Condé said this year marks the 59th anniversary of China-Guinea diplomatic relations. He thanked China for the long-time help and support to infrastructure development in his country, adding the State Highway 1 will greatly improve transport in Guinea and robustly promote economic growth in the capital city Conakry and other cities along the highway.

Koya-Mamou-Dabola highway
According to CRBC, builder of the project, Koya-Mamou-Dabola highway is 367km long. As the integral part of Guinea State Highway 1, the project is scheduled to be completed in 33 months.
