Construction of XCMG’s New Factory of Heavy Truck Proceeding Well
Release Date: March 13, 2015

Joint debugging of the final assembly conveying equipment has been finished in XCMG’s new factory of heavy truck and the first prototype came out according to the time table. The first phase of XCMG new factory of heavy truck declares successful.

Under XCMG’s strategic plan, and after 14 months of intensive construction, the new factory, with the most advanced technologies in stamping, welding, coating and final assembly, will be put into production in this early March.

The stamping workshop is equipped with the most advanced stamping line with hydraulic cushions and 7-axis robots, and no manual operation is needed. The welding workshop uses robots for higher accuracy and efficiency to make sure that every welding seam is reliable and meets the specification requirements. Welding robots are added for welding the cab roof assemblies, which are big and difficult to be handled. The coating workshop uses robots for primer spraying. The fully enclosed inter-connective structure is adopted for middle and top coatings for better dust-proof effect, as the leading technology in this industry. The drying room is a fully enclosed chamber for a higher heating efficiency and cleaner space. The final assembly workshop, with an annual two-shift capacity of 60,000 units, uses the most advanced assembly process in U-shaped arrangement for a better continuity. The engine assemblies, front and rear axles, suspensions, cabs, frames are transported by a self-propelled trolley system, which is easy to operate, reduces the transportation in the workshops and improves the production efficiency. The tires are transported by a roller conveyer with automatic rotating and flipping functions, enabling the smooth assembling of the inner and outer wheels for the middle and rear axles. The precision vacuum filler is adopted for adding oils to ensure the accuracy. With the anti-dripping device, it not only saves oil, but also helps to maintain a clean job site.

In the plan for this new factory there are three inspection lines of which one is to be done in the first phase. Inspections cover speedometer, exhaust detector, axle loading detector, braking (ABS) detector, light adjustment gauge, sideslip test stand, corner detector, cab shower room, which fully meets the requirements of related national laws and regulations.
