On October 28, Guangdong 21st Maritime Silk Road International Expo Construction Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as “Maritime Expo”) unveiled in Dongguan City and brought together 1394 exhibitors (2800 booths) all told, including 978 overseas exhibitors from 71 countries and regions (more than 70% of total exhibitors). As the leading business in China construction machinery industry, XCMG partook in the exhibition and became the most eye-catching star at the exhibition.

At this Maritime Expo, XCMG exhibited 10 product varieties of four sectors (including hoisting machinery, earth-moving machinery, road machinery, and excavating machinery). Herein, hoisting machinery sector, as XCMG’s largest business sector, ran ahead of the worldwide counterparts in sales volume, and its market shares in domestic wheeled crane market exceeded 60%. Over the past several years, XCMG loader always maintained the first place in export business amongst domestic counterparts, and now it has been ranked into the first-tier brands. Within only five years since kickoff of independent R & D and production, XCMG excavator has ranked the Top 2 in the industry. In terms of road machinery, XCMG ranked the world fifth place, and its heavy-duty road roller ranked the world No.1 in sales volume.

Deepen implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative in response to national strategy
As the pacesetter of Chinese construction machinery enterprises, XCMG responds actively to China’s “Belt and Road” initiative. To this day, XCMG has established consummate marketing service network in 65 countries along the “Belt and Road” that involves Central Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, West Asia, North Africa, Europe, and SE Asia. In those countries along the “Belt and Road”, XCMG boasts 80-odd level-1 dealers, 17 spare parts centers, and 16 offices. In Russia, India, and Poland, etc., XCMG has set up subsidiaries and branches. In such countries as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and the Middle East countries, etc., XCMG has established SKD assembling plants. In Germany, Austria, Netherlands, and India, etc., XCMG owns production bases. Statistics show that XCMG’s sales volume in countries along “Belt and Road” shares 76% of its total export volume.
To continue deepening implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative, XCMG launched the “Belt and Road” Overseas Service Campaign in 20-odd countries along the “Belt and Road” in 2015, and it plans to kick off the second-stage expansion of its Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan-based plants over the next one to two years. In light of its planning, XCMG will set up spare parts center in Russia, Algeria, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia, etc. In Russia, Mongolia, Cambodia, Turkmenistan, USA, and Canada, etc., XCMG is set to establish spare parts outlets. In the future, XCMG will focus on layout perfection, quickened pace in R & D of adaptive products, improvement of service quality, and expansion of brand influence to take an active part in the construction of “Belt and Road”.

Although it is a state-owned business, XCMG keeps on making innovations and changes in business philosophy and model, for example, it set about all-in-one integration in 2007, completed holistic listing in 2009, launched “HANVAN Program” in 2011.
